# Welcome

The **Blurit Plugin** anonymizes faces and license plates without leaving your editing software. Send a clip to Blurit, our AI detects every face and plate, and the blur appears on your clip, ready to fine-tune and export.

* **Automatic detection** of faces and license plates, tracked across the whole clip.
* **Live preview** in your program monitor or viewer: what you see is what you export.
* **Fine control**: blur or opaque mask, shape, strength, margin, edge, per detection or for the whole video.
* **Corrections in one click**: switch a detection off, merge two pieces of the same person, add a missed area by hand.
* **Background processing**: keep editing while Blurit works.

2. Install the plugin: [Premiere Pro](/editing-software/premiere-pro/installation.md).
3. [Connect the plugin](/getting-started/connect-the-plugin.md) to your account, in your browser.
4. Send your first clip and [adjust the blur](/the-blurit-editor/settings.md).

**Upgrading from the previous Blurit plugin?** The plugin has been rebuilt: you send a clip to the Blurit service once, the plugin connects through your browser (no more password in the plugin), and a full editor lets you correct every detection. Detection thresholds are no longer settings: Blurit chooses them for you.
